  i wish i could’ve connected with this on a personal level but unfortunately it did not hit for me like it could’ve. 
  this movie contains so many things i love: analog horror, soundtrack by alex g, realistic portrayal of weird kids, family struggle, suburban misery, loneliness, existential dread, gender ?? etc etc.
  on paper this is so up my alley. in reality it felt dissatisfying in my heart. it sucks that i don’t love this!
