  after all the rave i encountered on film twitter, this was uninspired and annoying. also i dont like needles in general but i love trainspotting. yeah the body horror made my skin crawl, but cannes best screenplay winner? there was nothing original or interesting the film said about the themes it tackled. it is six am. i guess im gonna talk about hashtag metoo white feminism and the substance later in a more convenient hour. plus, some scenes and the film overall felt way too long and overedited.
