Phantom Thread 2017
Watched it on the same day as Punch-Drunk Love. While different in tone, it's just as enigmatic in its exploration of the topic of "men and women". Might be one of the finest works not only from PTA but also from Daniel Day-Lewis. A slow-burning piece that avoids overt depictions of sexuality, instead honing in on the eternal cycle of falling in and out of love. It’s a razor-sharp chamber drama with an intimate understanding of the three persons involved.

The best movie ever created on the topic of love. Chaotic, totally insane and elemental. Not to mention the score which is just mind blowing, ranging from avant-garde Pierre Boulez-like pulsating musique concrète weirdness to the most sentimental orchestral cheese ever put to film.
