I just kept thinking... if a woman had come along, this whole movie wouldn't have happened.
Watched this with my mom! You don't see mom/daughter relationships tackled very often in movies, and it was nice to see a relationship that felt flawed and realistic. What I loved is the film refused to take itself seriously, while still including a heartfelt and compelling story.
There were some really creative and unique moments in this genuinely fun film. I liked the callbacks to 1930s/40s horror and the overall look of the film. The kills and action sequences were impressive, getting more innovative and brutal as the film went on.
It's Nicolas Cage as Dracula, what more could you want?!
