"shows her a world she didn't know" what world... the world of foreign music and cigarettes??????? im sure she couldve found that on her own?????? and asmr and weird prolonged silences and visuals do not a deep movie make!!!!!!! also is japan that dystopian that you get suspended from school for having an abortion? or is it because she rode an ambulance? and what is going on with the weird groomer husband sideplot???? can i even call it a "side"plot…

what's better than this.... just gals being pals.....
when analyzing the characters and their dynamics i gotta make one thing clear: Susanna isn't borderline. That's a misdiagnosis that stems from misogyny, being that their basis for it was her "promiscuity". Depression is a much more likely affliction. while borderline personality disorder is a real and serious condition, it is also one that was given out very liberally a couple decades ago.
Upon meeting, Lisa and Susanna are almost instantly enamored…
