It was this or the desire to bounce around and overall excitement that Stop Making Sense gives me. Either way, because of joy or my current movie induced state of unrest, I'm not getting to sleep as easily as I would have had Demme not died.

The Last Waltz 1978
It has been too many years of people saying, "You haven't seen the The Last Waltz!?!" Well, I'm glad I waited until now actually. I don't think I would have enjoyed the musicality of The Band and this movie back in my movie-watching-mania days. It looked great to boot. I was surprised even knowing the pedigree of the cinematographers and filmaker that a concert could be presented like that. The featurette on the DVD enhanced my appreciation of the whole package.
All that being said, Stop Making Sense is still the best concert film ever made.
