This latest work by Bong Joon-ho is an intriguing sci-fi project that is layered in complexity and meaning. Mickey 17 explores space as lots of sci-fi does, but carries with it a commentary on capitalism, colonialism, and authoritarianism.
Bong is very blunt when it comes to his critiques of capitalism, but the use of them here in a future where we have cloning and interstellar travel suggests that we could find a cure for cancer and billionaires would still bend…

They made a movie called damsel, but the twist is that everything is the opposite of a damsel in distress and as such everything is so predictable, yes she spares the dragon, yes she escapes by herself
