A funny movie that doesn’t seem at all interested in developing its main character, and the more I think about it, seemed more interested in sort of getting the audience to laugh at her, but like, not with her. I wish we knew anything about her other than what she does for a living. Igor is very hot, but I felt like I understood him as a character more than Anora by the end. I’m impressed that Sean Baker wrote directed and edited but this isn’t the film I hoped it would be.
