The defeated king who once was the mightiest, holding on dear life for him and his beloved horse but mostly for his horse that he couldn't even see him killed in front of his eyes he had to kill himself using his own sword, the way they perceived the loss of the horse and the king is truly inspiring for the work they'd later do (which was even more tragic than the opera itself) it indeed was a traumatic experience…

Mulholland Drive 2001
I love how surreal lynch's films are. This movie is a meditation on the nature of dreams and the blurred lines between fantasy and reality. The film can be seen as a reflection of Hollywood's dark underbelly and the price of fame, as well as a commentary on the way we construct our own realities through storytelling.
