  This movie doesn't hold up in a lot of ways, but the way they managed to create Kong in this movie is really amazing and took a lot of hard work. It's amazing to see how this movie has shaped the film industry.

  This movie pissed me off. I just finished reading Sir Gawain and the Green Knight, so I figured I'd watch the movie. This movie calls itself an adaptation, but it completely misses the mark tonally, visually, and story-wise. It just tries too hard with all the random color tints, dutch angles and match cuts and random shit just happening because it can with no relation to the story and jeez it sucks. It's fine when an adaptation makes liberties, but only when they make a good movie. Otherwise just follow the plot already laid out.
