Watching this was reminiscent of watching Nicholas Hoult in Warm Bodies. He brought that same sensitive good guy charm with a touch of evil and a decent helping of gore. I wasn’t too thrilled to see Nicolas Cage as Dracula so I was relieved that he felt like a bit more of a background character throughout most of the film. Immaculate 2024
As a child I attended catholic school and to me this film touched on some of the true horrors of the corruption and downright hypocrisy in religion. It reminds us of those are supposed to be a symbol of the church that condemn others who sin when they themselves are guilty of far greater sins.
