  Hard watch… and meant to be. Not sure if this approach will actually be helpful considering the people going to see this all already believe everything that is being said, so all it really is achieving is making said people more angry. The people that should watch this won’t. Idk I think it’s just stirring the pot more, but a lot of things that were said are important for many to hear. There’s also some interesting takes interspersed in here but definitely a lot of very valid and extremely upsetting stuff being shared in here. Scary for Jews in 2025 Zionist or not.

  Battle Royale 2000

  Not rating because I watched in two sittings - I see why Tarantino loves this film… right up his alley.

  Very postmodern in many ways, Battle Royale is extremely aware of itself and rather than going for hyperrealism, leans into the artifice of filmmaking and contributes to a fun and entertaining film. Very stlized and an amazing score. Major influence on not only films (Hunger Games, Belko Experiment etc), but also some of the biggest games ever like Fortnite and PubG, CSGO, etc. Need to give this film a proper one sitting watch, but regardless of the poor viewing I still enjoyed it a lot.

  Insane movie, fun, visually exciting, great dialogue. Amazing acting, a performance from Sebastian Stan reminiscent of DiCaprio in Wolf of Wall Street. Jeremy Strong as Roy Cohn was also amazing, just great acting all around. The dialogue was hilarious, there were just so many great moments. The editing was fun and inventive. Score was entertaining and really added to the overall vibe. Excellent movie.

  Had me crying laughing, reminded me of a mix of so many people I know, dialogue was insanely accurate and it just felt so real. So many interesting characters, such a fun story that had me sucked in and engaged throughout. Sean Baker made a hit with this.
