rodrigo prieto u will always be famous for making this at the same time as barbie
a loyal and stunning adaptation of an incredible book. a literal visual rendering of patrimony and the unlivable conditions that sustain it. pedro paramo also means rocky wasteland and the significance of geology and its soundscapes in this film does not escape you. i recommend reading the book first and thinking abt haunting for a while otherwise it can be confusing as hell
