Everything good about this movie is a credit to the broadway production. Hugely bloated, instrumentals were bad, dialogue was bad, they handcrafted the visuals just to make them look like CGI, and Jeff goldblum made me want to punch the air. The buildup to the final scene was not worth it, as the motivations of the characters were muddied by irritating exposition way too late in the film. I walked out after Cynthia, the best part of the casting, sang the key line in the goofiest visual part of the movie. Joke of a movie that should have been 40% as long.
