The story of a barely drawn New York heiress falling in love with an untrustworthy Australian bush ranger. The romance didn't work for me, much of the comedy (with some big yikes aside) did, but overall the pace is too sedate to really hold my attention.

Seemingly a perfect time capsule of a certain kind of the 1970s. Absolutely everyone in the narrative sexualizing a 13 year-old girl, miraculously the film itself doesn't (even given the chance since the actress, despite her looks, was 18).
There's an eerie dreaminess to the whole story that fits "a child's story of the supernatural", creating a world where everyone is a predator.
