I loved their chemistry, especially in the first half.
It would have been a higher rating, but the second half felt a little too long and the kids singing two whole songs felt unnecessary. It's fine to show them singing partially to show she's a choir teacher, but the whole song? Felt very out of place for a melodramatic romance.
A long downward spiral of despair with some small amounts of good fortune to give her small glimmers of hope before it gets taken away time after time.
I don't have the words to adequately express all the emotions I'm feeling after watching this impressive movie, but I'm thankful to have been able to watch this.

I thought I could make it through this whole movie without crying, but then he ran to his mother from the tank and I started bawling at the fact his father made this sacrifice for him and his family.
