Ratcatcher 1999
Ratcatcher is one of those films that disturb you during most part of the time. The reality and environment it takes place, and the impact of the dirt and poverty from 70’s Glasgow in the lives of the characters made me relate this to what would be a modern version of how life used to be in England centuries ago during totalitarianism.
You can tell James is just a kid, and that he’s learning by himself the world he lives in and trying to make the best out of it.
