i definitely felt like i didn't even come close to understanding everything in my viewing, but the tone and essence of the film were palpable nonetheless.

for almost every scene that wasn't centered around Mickey, I found myself staring at the scene unraveling before me and i just couldn't make sense of why it was happening - the characters made no sense to me UNTIL i considered US politics - then suddenly it made sense in a very surface, annoying, and bad satire way.
