  Even on the second viewing, all of my fear senses were just as stimulated. Crime drama and the occult are too symbiotic for casual watching. When mortal consequence is explained with incomprehensible powers of evil, no part of my mind can settle. There is no reason or rationality, and that’s how it should be. Cinema should aspire to this level of immersion into the corrupted. 

  *Sidenote* I watched with my parents and they basically said “what a weird movie lol”. And it only has 3 stars on Prime. Helps me realize that film is too subjective.
