  Funny, surprisingly deep (and dark) and genuinely emotional. The animation, especially during action sequences, is breathtaking. Highly recommend.

  This movie has an important moral that everyone needs to hear, and manages to make it much deeper and more impactful than it is when people just say it.

  The execution was a bit clunky at times in the middle act but all the core stuff about Joe's real life, his wants, his memories, etc, was absolutely perfect.

  Among Pixar's best. I don't think young children will really dig it, but everyone teenaged and older needs to see this.

  Misunderstood. Not a love story in the traditional sense, more a story about loneliness and companionship. It's really atmospheric and the art is beautiful, and it's rather moving if you can relate to either of the two characters at all (although the woman lead is a bit vaguely defined, admittedly, which seems to be intentional since from the main character's POV she comes from the "adult world", although I think it would've been nice if we saw a little more of her perspective).

  Underrated now that "Your Name" and "Weathering With You" are out.
