    I honestly don’t know where to begin. This movie is definitely on the upper echelon of its either you love or hate it and I found myself enjoying it.     An almost perfect representation of the immigrant experience. No matter how hard they try. Even so much as marrying to Americans and changing their last names, they’ll only ever at most be tolerated. Feels way too current unfortunately. Loved it. The music, the stylistic choices as an homage to the classic, the overture even the damn intermission. The pacing is great because this over 3 hour movie doesn’t feel nearly that long.

    Forgot to log this even tho it’s been months since I’ve seen it that should tell you something. Honestly what a hollow movie that has themes but no guts to actually dive into them. Emerald why do you break my heart? Like someone I know said, instagramification of cinema. 

    P.S. Barry Keoghan should not be allowed to workshop ideas for a scene or give input ever again.

    This is what happens when you get the darkness of a David fincher crime thriller and you put it in a Don Bluth animation style.
