  it’s like the american answer to the wind rises & mostly worked for me on every level except the romantic relationships which nolan never quite nails — scientists make gadgets and corrupt wars are fought by lawyers in bureaucratic hell rooms, today as much as if not more so than ever before but we take for granted the existence of scientific phantasms like black holes and subatomic particles and if oppenheimer did anything for me it took me back to that time when these were just ideas on chalkboards based on math, unobserved, untested, and as they say, “theory can only take you so far”
