Not really sure how to feel about this one. There was a really dark, eerie undertone throughout which became even more blatantly uncomfortable as the film went on. I also found the dialogue a little bit awkward and forced at times, but I do think it had a really interesting take on grief and how early childhood informs later life and I really enjoyed the opening 30 minutes. Some really cool shots too, especially in the final sequence and really interesting use of sensory imagery.

Night on Earth 1991
I told my mum I wanted to watch more Spanish films and she recommended me this. No one in it speaks Spanish and none of it is set in Spain but I’m still glad I watched it. There’s something really simple and unpretentious about it which I really enjoyed.
