Noticeably low budget and yet Herzog used this budget to create more dread, atmosphere, sorrow and incredibly composed shots than Eggers could ever imagine, let alone produce. The surreal shots of the deserted, plague-ridden city, covered in rats and abandoned livestock in particular were mesmerizing and more than made up for some of the less impressive or effective scenes. And there definitely were some of those here, particularly the more dialogue heavy scenes of which there luckily were not too…

I did it! I finally saw Nolan's latest masterpiece; Interstellar. I tried to like it, I really did, but it was made really fucking difficult by the insane bullshit Nolan shovels in our faces this time.
