  Reminded me of Tenet, in the way that I felt less like I was watching a movie and more like I was watching one of my favorite directors take their style and compound it upon itself until it reached a point of singularity.

  Hear me out…

  This might be the best Mission: Impossible movie.
  It’s certainly JJ’s best movie, and I’m particularly struck by the strength of so many small moments here. Some colossal Laurence Fishburne lines, deconstruction of the mask tech, Philip Seymour Hoffman acting as Tom Cruise acting as Philip Seymour Hoffman… this one shines in the details just as much or more as the later entries shine in the big moments.
