Manchester by the Sea 2016
Oh man, this film is empathetic in all the right ways. This movie’s depressing tone is colorful and bright, every frame is beautiful. Casey Affleck’s subtlety in his acting speaks volumes to the men of New England. The way he captures men with depression, is the most realistic depiction I’ve seen from any film. The supporting cast is phenomenal as well, I could watch a whole other version of this film with Michelle Willams as the lead. Manchester by the Sea captures a very small story in a huge way.
A life by the sea is a life worth living.
