A gory horror comedy that wasn’t that that funny, wasn’t scary, and honestly could have been gorier. A few kills are clever sequences, but others are just lazy. It’s disappointing this intriguing premise was half-baked.

The story of how this was made is cool too: Sweeney auditioned 10 years ago and loved the story, but the production fell through. Then Sweeney became a headliner and used her newfound star-power to bring the film back to life by producing it herself — revising the script, hiring a director, finding financiers, and selling the film to Neon. Badass.
