Though it is nowhere near perfect, Nolan does a remarkable job of telling a mildly engaging story on a $6000 budget. Throughout the film, it is quite apparent that Nolan showcased a lot of talent as a young filmmaker, employing various directional and stylistic choices/techniques that are later perfected in his most successful films.
