  I much prefer like White House Down or the Has Fallen series because it’s focused on the thriller aspect without the plot that requires 8 MCU properties (too many are bad shows) to understand and boring bad-cgi monster fights

  Had a lot of ideas and themes but it didn’t come together at the end for me. It’s like this year’s Saltburn—trying to say something deep but it’s very muddled. But I thought Saltburn was more fun. 

  The performances were very good though, and the music was interesting too.

  I feel like this is the best possible outcome for a musical-movie adaptation (besides Spielberg’s West Side Story), and I haven’t seen the musical. 

  Obviously, the score, lyrics, and vocal performances are insane. One of the best I’ve ever seen in a movie. 

  This movie felt 2 hours long and it was 2 hr 40 mins, and I think that’s due in large part to the script. Scenes generally took their time but didn’t drag much, ever. The political commentary…

  One of the best animated films I have ever seen. It’s touching, lighthearted, escapist, and beautifully animated. Also has nice music throughout!
