    I had seen this once before but just rewatched it.  M Night Shyamalan seems to get a lot of hate and while I agree with the majority opinion on Lady in the Water, I generally enjoy his films.  I like that this movie requires little backstory or exposition and that the premise isn’t overly complicated. It was somewhat predictable, but not as predictable as a director cameo.  That being said, I will watch Gael Garcia Bernal in anything so whatever else I think doesn’t matter.

    It has been years since I watched this movie and I still think about it sometimes.  The editing and the fact that one of the subject’s childhood friends made it add so much.  It does a good job of pulling you in and having you root for all the right people, and it’s completely devastating.  There’s a reason it’s still on my mind so long after the fact.
