  The movie was visually stunning and the narrative was very gripping . However I did find the conclusion to be quite, “white saviour” I know that’s not the correct term for this but I feel like it’s quite a choice to ignore the implications of the story and the time period it’s set in . The Irish are portrayed as blind , fools. Complicit and encouraging of the pain of this poor innocent child who has been encouraged by cruelty…
