1D characters, filler soulless subplot, and a predictable main plot. But Will Poulter was there I guess!

The Letterboxd rating for this movie relative to its IMDB and Rotten Tomatoes gives me the vibe that the LB community will eat up anything A24.

Not at all what I was expecting. Somewhat hard to understand sometimes with the accents and jargon.

The perfect conclusion. More plot than we’ve ever seen. More action than we’ve ever seen. The visuals of this series, though amazing the entire way through, definitely peaked with this movie. This movie substituted the more ethereal illusion-like sets of the first 3 for sets of a more grand feel and it definitely worked wonders. I don’t think there’s anything else that this movie did to particularly differentiate it from the past 3 other than that it did almost everything better.

The concept that this movie portrayed was interesting. The embrace of change, the change itself, and those who can’t keep up are all represented in the three storylines that form after the first hour of the movie. It’s was interesting for a while, but not nearly enough to keep me captivated for its massive runtime. The attempts later on to rejoin the storylines after they’d split were clumsy and erratic. The movie was definitely very artistic the whole time, sometimes…
