Always been intrigued by this little movie sandwiched between both Godfathers in Coppola’s filmography. Maybe it was Hackman’s death that finally moved me to watch it.

RIP to that legend—this was such an elite performance. The loneliness and paranoia he was able to finesse into the character was super impressive.

Otherwise, this was pretty flawless filmmaking. Unraveled the mystery beautifully. Absolutely riveting. Also, David Shire’s score was killer.

Coppola’s run in the 70’s will be studied forever.

Is it selfish of me to wish that those human printers could really exist, if for no other reason than to be able to print another Bong Joon Ho and effectively double his cinematic output?

Damn shame that it’s already flopping at the box office! Whoever was in charge of marketing for this movie needs to reassess their career.

The boys’ first time at the Metro and they loved it. Kudos to the Metro team for putting on a fantastic showing for their 2024-25 season kickoff – including an awesome lobby display complete with Truman’s mailbox and live CCTV screens of the patrons. The vibes tonight were almost as good as Mococoa, made from all-natural cocoa beans from the upper slopes of Mount Nicaragua. No artificial sweeteners.

Granted, the production was almost two decades ago – but the fact that this was, at the time, the most expensive movie ever made is baffling considering how laughably bad the CGI is.

Ignoring that, this is probably one of the worst super hero film scripts ever written. Magneto, especially, felt like a paper-thin iteration of a previously layered and complex villain. They also did Mystique so dirty.

    Fuck Brett Ratner.
