  Romeo Must Die 2000

  This Romeo and Juliet revision had really 2000's written all over it; a monstruous hip hop soundtrack and some of the weirdest and unnecessary X-Ray visual effects I've seen. Here we have less action than other films from Li, however the story has something really engaging on it. Ah man, this movie was good, actually.

  Contract Killer 1998

  Mixed feelings with this one, for a movie where as its first half tried to be story focused with almost nothing happening and a second half full of fists and gunshots, it was pretty decent. Chi Wai and Li made a great pairing.

  No one does it like Scorsese at the moment of bringing stories that are too bold and gut punching to be told. The storytelling here is very dense given the amount of characters on screen and it accomplishes very well.

  The run time may feel disjointed for some but it was like a walk to the park for me. It has something by the ending / commentary scene that felt really special and touching.

  Oh dear god, this was a visual experience, something totally mesmerizing. Every frame here can be used as a wallpaper.
