  This is not a documentary, neither is this a biopic. Instead it's an elaborately crafted excursion to the mind of Mr. Cave. Almost magical realism, much like the songwriting universe he muses about at the beginning of this film.

  This is heartbrakingly beautiful and Nick Cave is one of the greatest living poets of our time. The conditions of being "a middle aged rock star" pose no contradiction here as much of his oeuvre is about elevating the mundane to uncover some universal truths, which was also a running theme within the movie.
