Feels like we’ve lost the plot a bit. No clue how this triumph of a movie will end the year so under-recognized. We’ve got a legion of awesome performances; All-consuming world building; sublime cinematography; Hans Zimmer… On and on, everything is clicking full tilt. Brilliantly crafted storytelling in all aspects. And there are so many moments! (Feyd-Rautha’s birthday holds up as one of the best character intros I’ve ever seen).

I’m biased (clearly), but this is just a perfect sci-fi…

As time passes, more and more people will remember Sicario as a modern masterpiece. I could rave about this movie forever. More impressive than the film itself is the fact that it’s the first of a generational three-peat from Denis Villeneuve.

Sicario (2015), Arrival (2016), Blade Runner 2049 (2017). Filmed back-to-back-to-back. With Dune following shortly after. Are you kidding me?

That isn’t normal behavior. That is beyond exceptional. Who does that?!

Idk man. We may never see a run like that again.

“I am a true blue kind of a guy. I've been cool. I am now unmarried. So let's cut the mini-moves and the bullshit, and get on with this big romance.”

    Absolutely sent me.

Yeah, this is squarely up my alley. Cool as hell and oozing with style. James Caan and Michael Mann delivering like crazy. Big fan!

First time I’ll use “nightmare fuel” as a term of endearment. My god.

Francis crafted this masterfully. A completely unrelenting display of the horrors of the time. Paired with some elite performances, epic on-location visuals, and overall technical brilliance.

One of the greats for a reason. Insane.

Don’t ever say Bong doesn’t have range! Very funny, wacky, intentional, and cinematic. A few things didn’t fully work for me but on the whole, really entertaining.

The cast all leaned in and made the movie really go. If you come into this embracing it as a futuristic space comedy, you’ll have a good time.

All I need are some tasty waves, some mild bank robbery, and I’m fine.

90’s movies that lean all the way in are the best. Big fan of this cast, Busey in particular.
