    visually beautiful, but with tasteless eccentricity.

    while id admired the unconventional symbolism and cinematography present throughout the film (very creative many kudos), it didnt seem to have much substance. is the message anti-conventionalist? anti-establishment? about lost innocence? misdirection? or perhaps all of the above? instead of synthesizing these various themes, the film pulls viewers into a multitude of different directions, unfortunately falling short of true meaning. effective portrayal is just as importance as intention.
