  a heartbreaking portrayal of unconditional love shown with style that reminds me a lot of wong kar wai's framing in in the mood for love but mostly, i see a lot of resemblance with cassavetes in this one.

  this film strikes a thunder at you in many ways. it's electric in a way that i wouldn't expect a movie about papal election could give. production design was definitely the most underappreciated department here, as the set was done beautifully, and to my surprise it wasn't actually shot in the real sistine chapel, so they had to make their own.

  one of the reasons why i dont put ratings into my letterboxd log is because movies in general are highly subejctive, thus you can change your opinion about it in a matter of seconds based on your remembrance of it, be it the music, that one unforgettable scene, or even u can remember its kissing scene, especially if it's really good (i.e: the matrix).
