From the beginning, I was quite unsure as to whether I would like this show. I grew up with westerns, my grandpa raised me on them just as he adored them. Watching this, especially with Sam Elliot who reminded me a ton of him, I slowly fell in love with all the characters. Definitely one of Disney’s best live action remakes. I love how they expanded on the characters’ backstories and in the end made a fairytale feel almost more real than ever. Would have loved to see more a Tiger Lily subplot and possibly a Captain Hook and Peter Pan montage while they were younger too. There’s quite a few moments I feel the story could have expanded more. Nonetheless, very enjoyable film with an ending that really touched my heart.
