Saltburn 2023
The opening scenes showed potential for this to be an illuminating social commentary on elitism in British university establishments. It soon became clear that this was no more than a film about an unhinged man, from a seemingly comfortable middle class home environment, doing some VERY rogue things with no apparent motive. Cinematography, acting, production- all incredible. The plot left a lot to be desired. “Enjoyable” watch, but hasn’t provoked any thoughts worth thinking.
