This is probably one of the most unintentionally comical movies of all time. I had to pull it out for my third rewatch after seeing Tim Burton’s film, Ed Wood, for the very first time.
Vampira, fishing line flying saucers, a Bela Lugosi imposter and cardboard gravestones? I wouldn’t want it any other way. “So bad it’s good” is really the only thing to say about this entire film.

Damn. The scene with Kenny and his stepdad…
I feel that this movie perfectly represents teenagers in the mental health system and what goes on behind closed doors. Most movies like this either make it as “aesthetic” and as overdone as possible, or they gloss it over.. almost making seem less important or less of an issue than it is. Shit like this happens in real life. In my humble opinion, it’s great representation.
