Kinda underwhelmed ngl but had good parts. Really kinda “fake deep” honestly, but didn’t prevent me from enjoying what the movie did offer.

So many philosophical themes tied together in a beautiful dance of creativity and raw emotional expression. Who you could have been if things had changed yet appreciating your life all the same in spite of it. The importance of love in a meaningless universe.

Definitely one of the most unique movies i’ve ever seen. I’m sure that’s in part due to the fact it’s an anime but still.
The in depth commentary on the female experience, fan culture, and mental illness awkwardly amalgamate to form a story which always has the viewer guessing, way past the movie’s runtime.
