Absolutely essential. Incredible filmmaking and some of the best acting I’ve ever seen. Mainstream movies and TV are sorely missing realistic representations of social issues right now. I hope Netflix can see how much more valuable projects like this are instead of slop like The Electric State. This is the way it can be when you take a chance on talent and trust the vision. Stephen Graham is a gift.

A neatly constructed, marvellously elegant, almost perfect piece of filmmaking. Soderbergh is so deep in his bag of tricks that you barely notice any of the moves he’s pulling. Invisible auteur master shit. Between this and Presence the man is on an absolute heater this year. I salute you. The cast is perfect. Everyone is sexy. I don’t fully trust anyone, but I’m kind of rooting for everyone despite all the characters in this movie being deeply flawed, somewhat terrible…

I worship at the altar of Luca Guadagnino. This is the best filmmaking he’s ever done. The way he shoots the tennis scenes are straight up electrifying. Love the way this so effortlessly combines a sports movie with an erotic thriller. Also maybe the sexiest movie like ever. It’s a masterpiece. Just go see it.
