Spectacular and deeply moving film, yet still charmingly lighthearted. Brilliant performances from both leads, had me laughing out loud and crying within minutes of each other. Has left me thinking more about the richness in difference between friends, acquaintances and all the relationships in between.

“This is what happens when you give art students too much money” - Sam

I like a slow burner but this film could have done with a considerable amount of more narrative development. Also the forth wall breaking at the beginning and the end felt like an ill-explained afterthought.

Not my go to genre but was a cool take. Visually impressive film. Bruce Wayne was less of a rich douche and more depressing, isn’t that’s nice. I’m unsure how much they will be able to keep up with the context of corrupt Gotham, minor but non offensive yawn. Not excited for a new joker spin off, I favour a leap towards a new more creative antagonist.

Relatively light for a Fincher, not as pacy assuming due to the need to not embellish reality. Surprisingly satisfying plot considering the open endedness of the real story. Classic Ruffalo character but played well. Gyllenhaal is also good and also hot.
