Beautiful rugged landscapes and i love the cinematography , definitely the sort of film that will keep coming back to me. That scene towards the end where she is sort of conducting the ocean was particularly cool. Vivid portrayal of addiction and healing

5 years after watching this for the first time in the cinema I decided to rewatch after recently reading some WW1 poetry. Such a striking film, so gripping and visceral. As someone who doesn't normally go for action or war films I stayed entirely in the story the whole time, very immersive. The scene at night where he had been running through that destroyed French town had particularly stayed with me from my first watch, with all the dramatic shadows and light coming from the fire and the flares, and it did not disappoint a second time.
