Oh, hey, fancy seeing you here. Once again you catch me on my academic journey! blast!
For my Modernism and Film module (a painful journey, one Emily Hesketh can relate to) I was subjected once again to Virginia Woolf. She and I have a complex relationship don't ask. I am in love. I did watch it with a man (booooooo) and I fear i needed to watch it alone as it's such a beautiful and gut wrenching exploration of growing up as a woman into a strange world of pain and expectations. Rewatched this classic. A beautiful exploration of what it is to be young and vulnerable. HOWEVER!!!!!! Aside from this, there are a few points i am rather upset about. I know it has an artistic purpose but I don't care. False advertising. Perhaps a spot of jam next time. Perchance.

Upon my journey to evolve into the ultimate form of male manipulator i embarked not only to watch this film but write on it in an academic setting. I got a 2:1. It's fine i'm just a bit mad about it. Safe to say upon rewatching 3 times and analysing frame by frame i fear I became just as mad as the characters do. Marlon Brando's performance as Kurtz is merely a representation of doing as much as you can…
