I don’t know how you can watch this movie and not be filled with rage about the systems we allow to prevail and systemically denigrate human beings. Don’t get me wrong, this movie was beautiful in a way I cannot find words to describe, it was a transcendent piece of art and storytelling, but the fact it had to exist in the first place breaks my heart.
The bottom line is that the arts are life changing and should be made more accessible, and we need to collectively work towards a world without prisons.
