  Much like a transgender coming-out story, Zoolander explores the journey of self discovery, where Derek realizes that the world around him is not what he thought it was, and he must embrace who he truly is, beyond the shallow expectations placed upon him. The movie’s absurdity mirrors the vulnerability of a coming out experience, where personal identity clashes with societal pressures, but in the end, it's about finding freedom in authenticity and rejecting the persona that was never truly yours.

  I started hysterically laughing 50 minutes into this movie and repeatedly banged my head into the wall because of how terrible this was. It’s not even so bad it’s good. I literally smoked a cigarette after and I’m not a smoker. I put myself at risk for a nicotine addiction out of anger.

  If there is only one movie you can see this year. Make it this movie. It’ll make you go “wow, I really don’t want to see any more movies this year” before you strike a Budd Dwyer pose
