Massively surprised me - I felt the book handled domestic violence quite insensitively so didn’t have high hopes for the film but it was actually so much better.
Scene had me in tears and then they felt the need to follow it with My Tears Ricochet? Also ETHEL CAIN???? TWICE?????????!!!!!!

This was one of the most baffling things I’ve ever watched but was equally weirdly good? Had me and my mother discussing the symbolism for the rest of the night and I’m still thinking about it.
