Bicycle Thieves 1948
"It's hopeless, it always rains on Sundays."
Property and theft. To be part of the underclass is not a choice but adapting to the reality that you find yourself in, and that reality is created by the law and its enforcement. Law affords the perception of justice to maintain an ordered society. It keeps the working class working, and the upper class spending. The law when applied to and within the underclass though is just arbitrary oppression of the strong by the less strong, justice is a consequence.
